Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist who has experience gained in a range of biophysical techniques for quantifying ligand-protein interactions, to join our growing multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for developing innovative therapeutics for the treatment of cancer.
Responsibilities
·  Responsible for running molecular
biophysical methos including using SPR (Surface
Plasmon Resonance), MST (Microscale thermophoresis), and TSA (Thermal Shift Assays)
·  Conducting research into protein-ligand interaction to support drug discovery projects
·  The design and development of new biophysical assays
·  Support the delivery of research projects, executing assays as well as enable advanced compound characterisation.
·  Working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams including Chemistry and Biology
Experience required.
·  A PhD or master’s qualification in a relevant subject such as Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biology supported with experience in
biophysical techniques such as SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance), MST (Microscale Thermophoresis) and DSF (Differential Scanning Fluorimetry)
·  Expertise ideally gained in other biophysical techniques and fluorescence methods would be advantageous. Proficiency in providing quantitative data on protein-ligand binding including affinity kinetics and stoichiometry.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
Desirable experience
 ·  Experience gained in within a Biotech environment.
